About Me

Purchased my first Fleshlight (first toy of any kind) in 2019 to provide variety both solo and with my wife. Probably older than the average first-time user at 65.

My experience with Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT):
Having been on TRT for four years, I have come to understand the risks and benefits (from a layman's view only!) of what it takes to be on testosterone. Your experience may be different, and of course there is a lot I don't know, so only your doctor can give you medical advice. That said...

TRT has made a huge improvement in my quality of life. When I started, I really didn't care about anything anymore. Nothing was fun, I felt my life was essentially over. Was I ever wrong! TRT has given me a new life, and I am grateful for my wife for sticking with me, and finding a great doctor who could truly evaluate my condition. Here is some of my experience:
- You need to find a good doctor. One that can treat low testosterone. Many general practitioners only look at overall testosterone levels. You need to find someone who looks deeper, like an integrative medicine practice.
- TRT is not risk free, and not every man can be on TRT. Your doctor will evaluate you and provide this feedback.
- TRT can give you back your sex life, and enable you to get back on strength training and a good diet. Yes, it really can! I come out of the gym feeling great, with more strength than I had 25 years ago.
- Now, the downside. You will need to be under your doctor's care. I started out with blood work every 90 days. Even after four years, I still get blood work done every six months.
- Your doctor will check things like estrogen (yes, really) and hematocrit in addition to testosterone levels. Some items can be controlled by supplements. Hematocrit may require a balance between the amount of testosterone you take and regular blood donations. You will probably find yourself donating blood on a regular basis. The downsides can be serious. You must follow your doctor's recommendations to alleviate them to the extent possible. Some doctors are so set against TRT that they will not prescribe it.
- There are three main ways to take testosterone. 1) underarm (like deodorant), 2) under the skin tablets, and 3) weekly injections. If you have a significant other, the underarm method is not recommended, as females *cannot* come in contact with testosterone. If your S.O. washes clothes for you, even on occasion, I would not recommend this first method. The second method is for the doctor to place tablets under your skin every 90 days or so. This is done under local anesthetic. However it is also expensive. If you have the money, this may be a good option, and the release rate is much more consistent than method three. And, method three, weekly injections. While this may be unpleasant, it is also the least expensive by far. This can be done at home, however you either need to give yourself injections, or have a significant other who will do it. Note that I have also recently read about the potential for an oral method. I am sure this will be very expensive, but if you've got the money, then why not?

This is my experience in a nutshell. I wish I had had someone to talk with before I started this journey, but it is not something most guys will talk about. Weighing the upside and downside, I have decided the benefits far outweigh the risks. I imagine at some point I will stop TRT, but for the time being this is a game changer for me, and is well worth the time spent with my doctor and the maintenance requirements.

Thanks for reading this, and best of luck on your journey!

Mini-Lotus Review

May 30th, 2019 (Mini-Lotus Texture)

This is my first Fleshlight. I have used it in the traditional way once, and hands-free twice. As others have said, the amount of lube makes a big difference. Less is definitely better. I prefer hands free, however I find that I need to pay attention to the length of my stroke in order to take advantage of the lotus node. That is, the lotus node really makes this sleeve for me, however I need to ensure I stroke back far enough since the lotus node is close to the entrance.

Once I figured this out, I found that I could go on for a while, or go for a faster finish by stroking back far enough for the lotus node to give the underside of my head a thrill on each stroke. This gives an intense orgasm.

Other than the lotus node, for me the sleeve is quite tame. I haven't tried edging with it yet, however I think I could by using the length of my stroke to give me the control I need.

Conclusion:
Without trying out other sleeves, I would have to say that I am quite pleased with this as my first Fleshlight experience.
